Amutri has been successful in its bid to win an Innovate UK Smart Grant for a project value of £492k.

The software startup joined SETsquared Bristol in March 2023. With this 12-month industrial research project, Amutri will develop a revolutionary immersive 3D visualisation product, creating a first-of-its-kind low entry point and easy-to-use platform that turns computer-aided design and building information modelling files into ready-ready digital assets, and 3D experiences in seconds.

Interactive 3D experiences have recently seen a sharp increase in demand due to their capability to revolutionise entire industries, with design, marketing and sales standing to benefit from the technology first and foremost.

With the promising wider market adoption of VR and AR technologies, design teams are now re-imagining how they work together and engage with their customers. Retailers are also looking to adopt 3D content to enhance online and in-store sales experiences, and social media companies are incorporating 3D content to generate more engagement.

Whilst the benefits of the technology are clear, it’s difficult to adopt and expensive to maintain. Amutri aims to remove these barriers to entry by building a step-change product that delivers, for the first time, a simple path to 3D experience creation.

Amutri enables people to create and share 3D content without technical knowledge and view 3D experiences on any device using cloud computing. This enables teams to transition from still images or video to shared, visually rich, and interactive 3D experiences. With its technology, Amutri will support the off-plan sale of real estate, enable academic institutions to unlock the potential of 3D experiences, as well as facilitate the design of new transport hubs and clean energy power plants.

“Every company needing to produce 3D experiences faces the same problem of complex, lengthy, and expensive 3D content creation processes, and Amutri is here to remove these barriers”, said Amutri CEO, Michael Calver.

“We are thrilled to receive such a significant grant from Innovate UK, which will help us in our ambition to dramatically lower the entry point to 3D visualisation technology. Our technology has already been trialled by some of the world’s leading design, engineering, and real estate companies and this new investment will enable us to reach even more customers who are looking for a quick and cost-effective way to produce stunning 3D experiences.”

Amutri is currently raising additional funding through a round of equity financing, with the round set to close in early August 2023. If you would like further information, please contact hello@amutri.com
