SETsquared Bristol’s successful #Idea2Pitch workshop will return on 30th April to offer business support and pitching advice to technology companies. Attendees will receive exclusive access to SETsquared’s business experts and will refine their ideas and pitches amongst like-minded peers from Bristol’s start-up community.

#Idea2Pitch is a chance for businesses to enhance and hone their skills before heading out to investors, as well as an opportunity to make invaluable business connections with entrepreneurs, mentors, and experts from the community. The bi-annual workshop is held at different community venues to ensure business support in the city reaches wider audiences, with April’s event taking place at Barton Hill Settlement. Attendees are invited to join the regular SETsquared Connect networking event at Engine Shed in the evening.

Monika Radclyffe, Centre Director, said:

“We are pleased to be hosting #Idea2Pitch at Barton Hill Settlement following a successful event at St Paul’s Learning Centre last October.

Since the launch of our new Breakthrough Bursary, we are continuing our work to reach wider communities, and hope to bring our expert pitching advice and insights to more companies in need of business support.”

67 companies have attended #Idea2Pitch, which is now into its 6th instalment. Victoria Forrest of VIKA Books and Nemo D’Qrill of Sigma Polaris both went on to be accepted into the SETsquared Bristol business incubation programme after honing their pitching abilities at #Idea2Pitch events.

James Nightingale of Abon attended #Idea2Pitch in October 2018. He said:

“I very much enjoyed the section on honing your pitch, and left with a far better pitch than when I walked in.”

SETsquared Bristol’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Greville Commins, will be hosting the afternoon of workshops followed by a pitch practise session, where attendees can put into practice the skills they have developed during the day. If you think your technology company would benefit from advice on pitch development and how to refine business ideas, apply to attend #Idea2Pitch here.
