SETsquared Bristol

Our team are thrilled to announce that SETsquared Bristol has been shortlisted for a 2019 Bristol Life Award in the Business Services category. The Bristol Life Awards celebrate the very best of Bristol’s businesses, with an impressive range of local companies involved, from charities to corporates. SETsquared Alumnus, One Big Circle, have also been nominated in the Best New Business category, and our partners, Unit DX, for the Technology and Innovation award.

SETsquared Bristol is the only business accelerator nominated in the business services category. A contributing factor to this success is the recent news that 2018 was one of our best years to date: we retained our position as global no #1 incubator and have also been nominated in the Hargreaves Lansdown South West Mentoring Awards 2019, for Mentor Scheme of the Year.

Last year, SETsquared Bristol increased its membership with 21 new companies, and improved and broadened our business support offering by introducing new events, forums, programmes, workshops, and advice clinics. As for our members, collectively they raised a combined £81 million and employed over 1,090 people in the local region.

The Bristol Life Awards are highly contested and a powerful accolade to all nominees. Winning a Bristol Life Award for Business Services would help us to increase visibility, and drive applications from business founders we may not have reached before. This would be of benefit to the Bristol start-up scene, helping to attract other potential entrepreneurs and new investment into the city. In turn, this would help to drive our role in job creation, economic growth, and new development of innovative tech products and services.

The Bristol Life Award winners will be announced at Uberglam Marquee in Lloyds Amphitheatre on 11 April 2019.
