SETsquared Bristol

We’re delighted to be recognised for two awards in succession for SETsquared Bristol’s business incubation work with tech spin-outs, alongside University of Bristol’s Research Commercialisation team. In August 2019, SETsquared Bristol was awarded ‘Best Higher Education Technology Transfer Specialists’ 2019 from SME News’ UK Enterprise Awards, as well as ‘Best Academic Researcher Development program’ – South West England, awarded by GHP News’ International Life Science Awards 2019.

SETsquared Bristol offers its globally recognised, business acceleration programme to technology businesses looking to start-up or scale-up, as well as working with university researchers who are ready to commercialise their innovations for market viability. We have worked with a number of notable University of Bristol spin-outs, including world leaders in mid-air haptic technology, Ultrahaptics, and Ziylo, who were acquired in a deal worth up to $800 million last year.

SME News’ UK Enterprise Awards proudly encompass a multitude of exciting and vibrant business industries from all across the United Kingdom. The awards are given solely on merit and are awarded to commend those most deserving for their ingenuity and hard work, distinguishing them from their competitors and proving them worthy of recognition. The GHP News International Life Sciences Awards recognise a wide range of life science accomplishments, from anatomy to zoology. All the winners have made quantifiable contributions to the life sciences industry over the past year. Read the press release to find out more.
